Manufacturer warranty information
The Pixfra Mile 2 Thermal Monocular series is designed for wildlife enthusiasts and professionals seeking reliable thermal imaging capabilities. These monoculars detect infrared radiation, enabling observation of animals in challenging lighting conditions, including complete darkness, fog, or behind light vegetation.
Models PFI-M413 and above meet the requirements set out in best practice guidance for bat surveys. Please note that the sensor resolution of the lower end of this range is not sufficient for professional applications, which require a minimum resolution of 320 x 256. Please see the Thermal Imaging: Bat Survey Guidelines published by the Bat Conservation Trust for more advice on how to choose your thermal imaging equipment for bat surveys.

Additional Information
Thermal monoculars, such as the Pixfra Mile 2 series, offer advantages over traditional optics and night vision devices. They detect heat signatures, making them useful for nighttime and low-visibility conditions, but also allow for observation through obstacles like fog and light vegetation.
Traditional binoculars provide depth perception and colour detail during daylight but are less effective in low-light conditions without additional illumination. The Pixfra Mile 2 Thermal Monocular functions in both day and night settings, offering versatility for wildlife observers and outdoor professionals.
