Description
Overview
The Pulsar Merger LRF Thermal Binoculars series is engineered for professional ecological surveys and wildlife monitoring. These binoculars combine stereoscopic thermal imaging with a built-in laser rangefinder, offering exceptional depth perception, long-distance detection, and real-time image sharing—making them an ideal choice for field ecologists, ornithologists, and conservation professionals.
Unlike monoculars, the binocular design allows for two-eyed viewing, improving situational awareness and reducing eye strain during extended use. High-performance thermal sensors detect infrared radiation, enabling observation in complete darkness, dense vegetation, and through fog, without the need for artificial light.
Each model in the Merger LRF range includes video/photo capture, 64 GB of internal storage, dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, and a rugged magnesium alloy housing with IPX7 waterproofing. Stream Vision 2 compatibility allows for wireless data transfer, geotagging, and device control in the field.

Applications in Ecological Survey
- Detect nocturnal birds, such as owls and nightjars in complete darkness
- Identify active roosts and nests in vegetation or cliffs with minimal disturbance
- Spot camouflaged or cryptic animals that blend into natural habitats
- Pinpoint animals within large ecosystems such as estuaries, moorlands, and reedbeds
- Monitor species activity from afar with minimal field presence
- Maintain visibility in fog, rain, or snow where standard optics fail
