Overview
The Visionary Freebird ED binocular series offers a high-quality optical and mechanical design in a robust mid-size format. Available in both 8×42 and 10×42 configurations, these binoculars are constructed with rubber armoured, waterproof housing and built for consistent performance in challenging outdoor conditions.
The Freebird ED series integrates fully multi-coated optics with high-definition BAK-4 prisms, complemented by Naturephase™ and dielectric coatings. These coatings improve light transmission and colour fidelity while maintaining edge-to-edge sharpness across the field of view.
Each model is fitted with extra-low dispersion (ED) glass, effectively minimising chromatic aberration and enhancing image clarity and contrast. This results in improved subject definition, particularly in high contrast lighting conditions or when observing fine detail at longer distances.
The physical build of the Freebird ED reflects the same attention to performance. The aluminium alloy body features multi-stage twist-up eyecups and a metal focus wheel with smooth, positive movement, offering precise focus control and ergonomic operation.
Both binoculars are nitrogen filled for fog resistance and sealed to be waterproof. Integrated objective lens covers and a rear rain guard help protect the optics, while the included neoprene lanyard ensures comfortable wear over extended sessions.
These models represent a significant upgrade from the previous Visionary Freebird series, maintaining key features while improving optical resolution, mechanical handling and environmental sealing.
